Blueprint Reading Seminar
Overview:
This seminar is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of blueprint reading in a hands-on and interactive environment. Through practical exercises, attendees will gain an understanding of how to interpret symbols, dimensions, and other important components of blueprints commonly used in manufacturing and construction.
Objectives:
By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:
• Identify common features on prints such as dimensions, notes, lines types and symbols;
• Understand specifications related to tolerances and angles;
• Read geometric projections (orthographic views);
• Decipher various assembly drawings including detail views, exploded parts diagrams and cutting plans;
• Interpret conventional welding symbols; and
• Follow safety regulations that are applicable to blueprint reading.
